How our portal works:

  • CSOs register in the web portal and fill out a detailed profile;
  • SmartAID verifies the provided data with donors and lists approved CSOs in the Donor Portal;
  • International donors select CSOs according to sectors of interest and launch cooperation.

Please note that SmartAID does not engage CSOs directly. SmartAID is not liable for connections, contracts or breach of contracts between users.

About SURGe

SURGe is a technical assistance project in Ukraine, funded by Global Affairs Canada and implemented by Alinea International Ltd. Our approach is to foster local solutions through the deployment of local experts to the GoU.

On average, we have 100 experts deployed to manage sectoral reforms using:

  • Citizen-centric reform design;
  • Results-based management tools;
  • Monitoring for results and citizen impact.

Partnerships Work!

SURGe has supported 59 communities in 21 regions all over Ukraine.
    We have provided direct support to 88,027 direct beneficiaries:
  • 51,517 local citizens in cities under siege;
  • 36,510 IDPs including 5,565 children;
  • This includes 8,550 patients, 320 orphans, 6,747 prisoners.
Our support has been received by:
  • 36 bomb shelters in communities under attack;
  • 20 shelters for IDPs in Western and Central Ukraine;
  • 18 hospitals;
  • 6 childcare institutions for evacuated children from the cities under attack;
  • 8 prisons in cities under siege.
Child protection
  • We evacuated 1,481 citizens (683 children/700 women/21 people with disabilities) from cities under attack;
  • 5 IDP shelters equipped for children evacuated from institutions in cities under attack;
  • We provided 10 shelters for locals and IDPs with baby food and baby hygiene items.
Shelter & Non-Food Items (NFIs)
  • 46,446 beneficiaries received shelter and NFI support;
  • 9 shelters for IDPs fully equipped with NFIs (sleeping places, washing machines, kitchen utilities, hygiene);
  • 6,859 sleeping places (beds, sleeping bags, mattresses) equipped for IDP shelters in the Western Ukraine;
  • 14 shelters provided with electrical appliances (generators, heaters, cooking appliances);
  • 3 bomb shelters equipped with NFIs (blankets, sleeping places, hygiene).
